Soban K-Town Grill in SM Megamall

Today we tried Soban K-Town Grill in SM Megamall. Medyo hesitant ako nung una kasi naman sanay ako na unlimited lahat, but for this restaurant, unlimited side dish lang at yung meat ay per set or ala carte. But then we still give it a try.

I like the mixed rustic and industrial theme of the restaurant. Unlike with other korean grill restaurant I have been to, this place is instagrammable and light ambiance. Sa service naman, ang bilis naserve nung order namen, staffs are very courteous at mabilis magrespond sa request namen though may part dun na nagrequest kami ng additional cheese pero di na kami nabalikan. It's just one time so it´s actually fine.

One thing they require before ordering, kung ilang pax, dapat ganun din yung set na oorderin. Like us, we are group of 7 people, 6 adults and 1 kid. Yung meal set for 4, strictly for 4 person or less lang. Kaya kinailangan namen umorder ng 2 set of group meals plus an ala carte meal para magqualify yung order namen. We ordered Mega Meat BBQ Set good for 2 for ₱1,000, Premium BBQ Combo Set good for 4 for ₱2,200 and Ultimate Crispy Fish Bap for ₱260.

Total of 6 unlimited side dishes per set which includes a traditional Korean egg roll omelet called Gyeran Mari, Pamuchim or salad made from fresh leeks and beans sprout tossed in Korean spices, Gamja Sarada or mashed potatoes, kimchi, lettuce, and roasted peanuts. Aside from side dish, they also served soup and rice which is unlimited too.

I tried to get a better picture kaso gutom na mga kasama ko kaya ayun lumarga na. Yung lettuce very fresh. Yung kimchi masarap naman though for me mas gusto ko yung maanghang anghang na kimchi.

Though namahalan ako plus di ako ganun nasatisfy kasi I have tried other korean grill restaurant na din, we still enjoyed our food. I think that is more important, we enjoyed it.

What I like about Soban K-Town Grill...

🥩 Ambiance. They also used light colors kaya refreshing sa mata yung interior.
🥩 Courteous Staff.
🥩 Quick Service.
🥩 Premium Quality of Meat.

What I don't like about Soban K-Town Grill...

🥩 Price. Medyo namamahalan ako and I feel hindi siya worth it.
🥩 Some of the side dishes. Like yung scrambled egg, di ko lang natanong kung intentional na almost frozen siya sa lamig or kelangan talaga siyang initin sa grill. Yung mashed potato na di kami nasarapan. Yung texture at yung lasa niya di talaga tugma.
🥩 Quantity.

So my final verdict, kung ayaw mo masiyadong kumaen ng marami at gusto mo lang isatisfy yung crave mo for samgyeopsal, marerecommend ko to for you.

Well, that is my opinion and I based it on my experience. I hoped you like my review and thanks for dropping by. Check their full menu here.
