Weekend Getaway

Pila tayug natividad

Last weekend we went to Tayug Pangasinan to visit my grandfather's grave. We had a little reunion and what I love the most is we had a chance to visit some places to make our getaway "sulit na sulit."

SKY PLAZA

Tayug, Pangasinan is 4-5 hours drive from Manila. To be able to get there you'll need to pass NLEX, SCTEX and TCPLEX. In early morning around 6 am of November 1st, we went to Sky Plaza which can be found in Natividad, Pangasinan. The plaza is lying at the foot of the Caraballo Mountain.

This is the starting point. The road is quite steep and carrying my 8 kg baby is really hard. I felt the calories that burn. Chos!

There are animals along the way too. Monkeys are very friendly. At the peak of the mountain is a statue like Christ the Redeemer of Brazil. So sad we didn't succeed getting on the top of the mountain. I think I should exercise more to have stronger stamina. Anyway, I still love the view where we stopped.

Overall, I enjoyed this morning exercise with my family and relatives. Breathing fresh air, looking at the beautiful view, enjoying the sun is really worth hiking for.

PILA and MARANUM FALLS

After our morning exercise in Sky Plaza, we went to the falls in Natividad. People call it Pila. Since we are accompanied by elders which are aging 40 something, we splash at the lower part of falls. It's actually a dam where the water from the river flows. The water is very cold that I am hesitated if I should get into the water. Since I am already sweating I take a plunge and I enjoyed every minute I had in the water.

Look! my baby would like to plunge in the water. The water is really refreshing in my skin. The sun is not that hot because the cold water is overpowering it. The scarier part here is the strong flow of the water that might drift you away.

Since I really can't get enough of falls, we went to the Maranum Falls. This time I am with my cousins. No baby allowed because the path is really steep, rocky and dangerous. We walked for about 30 minutes to get into the place and I get excited when I hear the sound of flowing water.

We are not able to get closer to the waterfall because the water is so high from the previous typhoon Lando. But still, we enjoy the water, jump from the huge rock, had fun and bond with each other.

We mother should once in a while take a vacation, appreciate nature, go on adventure and had fun. Agree? Thank you for dropping by.
